I'm about as shy as they get, so I'm very proud of you. That's one of the reasons I'm having trouble finishing my book, among other things.

Hi Joan, tell the fraidy cat to make a list of her fears. Write them all down and then go back and look at each and ask yourself,"if the worst happens, who will care in ten years?"

Joan, you are like many of us. Acceptance is the way to calmness and tranquility. I have always bucked the system, no matter whose system, and it wears me out.
I will post your poem in my bathroom and read it each day in hopes it will help me with accepting things as this is what was meant to be.

Your snow photo is beautiful. I know how you feel regarding the snow. It was lovely, but I did not enjoy being snowbound. I'm sure glad your electricity came back on and glad you had plenty of food. It's great to see the ground again and the sunshine.

Hi Joan,your blog is beautiful. I like this post. I have always been, like you, someone running to get done everything on my list. As I get older I am realizing that I need to slow down and try to stay in the moment. I never knew what that meant, but I have learned and I am working hard to stay focused. Perhaps that is why I can face this holiday season in a better frame of mind.
